Finding your ideal leather jacket size is simple when you know how to measure accurately. A genuine leather jacket should fit comfortably over your typical underlayers while allowing effortless arm mobility. Use this official sizing and fit guide to select your perfect size on your very first order.

1. How to Take Your Measurements Accurately

Use a soft tailor’s measuring tape while wearing a lightweight tee or shirt. Stand naturally with relaxed posture:

  • Chest / Bust Circumference (Most Critical): Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level under your armpits and across your shoulder blades. Record the measurement in inches or centimeters without puffing out your chest.
  • Shoulder Width: Measure from the outer tip of one shoulder bone across the upper back to the opposite shoulder bone.
  • Sleeve Length: Measure from the outer edge of your shoulder bone down the outer arm to just past your wrist bone where you want the jacket cuff to rest.
  • Waist / Hem: Measure around your natural beltline where the bottom of the jacket will sit.

2. The 3 Silhouette Fit Profiles

  • Slim / Café Racer & Moto Fit: Tailored to fit close to the chest and waist with 2.5 to 3 inches of ease. If you plan to layer thick winter hoodies, consider ordering one size up.
  • Classic Regular / Biker & Field Fit: Provides a balanced, timeless silhouette with 3.5 to 4 inches of chest ease for comfortable daily movement and light knitwear layering.
  • Relaxed / Bomber & Aviator Fit: Features roomy drop-shoulders and ribbed hems with 4 to 5 inches of ease, ideal for colder climates and heavyweight winter layering.

3. Natural Leather Break-In & Stretch

Authentic full-grain lambskin and cowhide naturally conform to your body after 10 to 15 wears, stretching approximately half an inch to one inch in high-stress movement zones (shoulders, elbows, and chest). However, leather will never shrink in length. Therefore, your new jacket should feel comfortably snug on day one without restricting shoulder mobility.

4. Custom Sizing & Made-to-Measure Tailoring

Have broad athletic shoulders, longer arms, or a tall torso that standard off-the-rack sizing doesn’t fit? We offer bespoke custom-tailoring. You can commission any jacket style tailored to your exact anatomical proportions.
